Update 6 Construction Villa Gennadi 23 August 2026
August is the month when almost everyone in Greece goes on holiday. The people of Rhodes are no exception to this rule. However, our gardener has been working hard and, as you can see in the photos, all the plants are now in their proper places. Drip irrigation has also been installed to ensure that the plants receive enough water during the dry months. The water supply has been programmed and carefully regulated. It will stop in the autumn when the rainy season begins. Once all the outdoor work has been completed, the garden will be finished with gravel between the plants. This will help reduce weeds, but more importantly, it will help retain moisture in the soil. From September 1st, we will be back in Gennadi ourselves. We will then start furnishing the second villa. The furniture is ready and all the lights have been delivered. Obviously, we won’t be able to rent out this second villa during the current season. So, even though it’s only the end of August, the next season has already begun for us. This means we will finish everything as quickly as possible and then have some beautiful professional photos taken. From April 15th next year, this villa will also be fully available to book for a wonderful holiday. At the end of next week, we’ll share a preview with a few photos of the new villa, fully furnished and ready to go. Stay tuned for updates!
